Amsterdam, 2016

Meet Amsterdam-based loved up couple Coco & Joey, who appear to be enjoying life to the fullest: If we win the lottery we will pack our bags and surfboards and go travel the world. Not think about anything and just relax and tan with my carrot oil seems the perfect life to me.’

How and where did you meet each other?
Joey: ‘We both study at the same school. I had noticed her already, mainly due to her speaking English the entire time. I thought she was foreign so I began to name her Intie (named after international) with a friend of mine. At one point Intie didn’t show up to school anymore, thus I thought she went back to her own country… However, then I spotted her at a bus stop in Amsterdam. A few months later we really met each other at Dekmantel Festival and that’s where it all started. I fell in love with her on our first evening together at Trouw, a famous club that’s now closed in Amsterdam.’

‘This one time we put M&M’s in our nostrils.’

When was the last time you cried?
Joey: ‘A week and a half ago on a Saturday evening.
Coco: ‘Yesterday afternoon.’

What is your most sent emoji to each other?
Coco: ‘The red heart and the ‘Rock ‘n Roll hand.’

What is your craziest, most hilarious memory of you as a couple?
Coco: ‘We have had so many hilarious memories in our 2,5 years together. My most memorable one has to be the one time we put M&M’s in our nostrils and shot them in each other’s mouths. That was really fun.’

Describe your ideal Saturday evening together, or depending on preference, your ideal Sunday morning!
Joey: ‘We love to go out together. Back in the days it was Trouw, but since it’s closed we go to De School very often. So our Sunday morning means sleeping in and then hit the city to get some very good breakfast and a nice cup of coffee.’

Which Disney character would your partner be?
Coco: ‘He would be Tarzan and I would be Marie from the AristoCats.
